I met Annie for the first time. We tried to meet when she first arrived in London but life has a habit of getting in the way and so we ended up meeting two weeks before she said farewell to this lovely town.
But we couldn't have planned for a better evening, it was all so lovely!
It began at the Tate Modern, where she arrived with a friend. Filipa and Nora arrived soon after. We went to see an incredible exhibition celebrating an outstanding artist's work: Yayoi Kusama. It's on until the 5th of June, if you can please do go and see it. The last two rooms really blew my mind, especially the very last one! Me and a group of people I had never met before had to be shooed off as none of us could bring ourselves to leave that room. I was truly magical, not in a fairytale way but more in a mysterious dark self-dicovery way. I felt that if I stayed long enough, I would have my deepest questions answered. But it was not meant to be and they carry on unanswered.
We all went for dinner at a dim sum place nearby. It was so lovely! Then we walked along the riverside and it was time to say our good-byes.
Me and Nora decided to walk to Waterloo and got somewhat sidetracked along the way. Amongst other things, we ended up doing barefoot heel-clicks on the pier in front of the OXO tower. We do have a lot of fun, the pair of us!
I'd brought my Canonet along with me and managed to capture some wonderful moments, seen below.
